If you are making an active claim that something is true, the burden of proof lies on you. If you think someone needs to do something, you cannot force them to do so purely based on your artificial authority derived from a ‘higher’ position.
One simply by definition cannot disprove something which has not been proved.
To outright bash and reject someone because they are ‘lower’ is a form of fragility and unwillingness to lower yourself.
Presumption of innocence in courts is exactly what the rule of law is. It’s arguably one of the most, if not the most important and fundamental basis on which a fair and just society is built.
